The Directorate of Information Technology is the technology backbone of the Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority. It builds and runs the Authority's in-house enterprise system, this website and the PKHA mobile app, and keeps the head office and divisions connected and secure.

Core Functions & Responsibilities
Applications
- Designing, developing and maintaining the PKHA enterprise system: HR, accounts, vehicles, assets, service cards, bookings, tasks and grievances
- Developing the PKHA mobile app for officers and the public
- Running the official website and supporting content updates by the media team
- Database administration, backups and data quality of HRMIS and other records
- Reports and dashboards for the management, and digital support for road inventory and RMU data
Networks & Security
- Managing the head office network, servers and connectivity with regional divisions
- Cyber security, access control and two-step verification for officer accounts
- Official email and domain administration
IT Support
- Hardware and software support to all directorates and divisions
- Training officers and staff on PKHA systems, with published user manuals
- Technical specifications and evaluation for IT procurement
