The Procurement wing manages the open and transparent procurement of works, goods, services and consultancies for PKHA in accordance with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (KPPRA) rules.
Functions & Responsibilities
Works
- Preparing the Annual Procurement Plan
- Publishing Notices Inviting Tenders (NIT) and bidding documents
- Registration and enlistment of contractors, and pre-qualification for major works
- Bid opening, evaluation and publication of evaluation reports
- Processing contract awards and publishing contracts awarded
Consultancy
- Expressions of Interest (EOI) and Requests for Proposals (RFP)
- Pre-qualification and short-listing of consultants for planning, design and supervision
- Technical evaluation of proposals
Goods & Services
- Procurement of plant, machinery, instruments, materials and office goods
- Procurement of services needed by the head office and divisions
Compliance
- Maintaining the list of pre-qualified contractors and black-listed firms / contractors
- Handling bidder complaints through the grievance redressal mechanism under KPPRA rules
