Directorate of Finance
The Directorate of Finance manages the budget, accounts and revenue of the Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority, an Authority that today stands on its own feet, paying its staff salaries from its own resources.
Functions & Responsibilities
Budget
- Preparation of the annual budget estimates and revised estimates of the Authority
- Release of funds and budgetary control for development and maintenance works
- Financing of the annual maintenance plan, including PKHA's own contribution of Rs 150 million a year
- Raising and managing funds from local and foreign sources
Accounts & Payments
- Scrutiny and payment of contractors' and consultants' bills
- Pay, allowances and claims of employees
- Pension and other retirement benefits
- Maintenance of accounts and reconciliation
Revenue
- Toll collected on Provincial Highways and other roads
- Rent of PKHA property and fees for NOCs and enlistment
Audit
- Internal audit of payments and accounts
- Replies to external audit observations and coordination of DAC / PAC meetings
